Pier Shop Details: Custom Wood Hangers

Hanger_Header_3

Some of the best moments of design are found in the details. One of the really great details of the Pier Shop were the custom plywood hangers we designed for them.

Yes, they could’ve used normal hangers. They could have even spent a little more money and had their logo printed onto stock hangers. But by rethinking the seemingly insignificant detail of hangers, the shopping experience is instantly elevated.

It’s in the small touches, like a logo etched into a plywood hanger, that a brand really comes to life.

Do you want to create a memorable experience for your users? Then pay attention to, and invest in, the small things.

Recreation Typeface: Camper

CamperDisplay2b-01

We are proud to offer the first in a series of CAMP-made typefaces.

———————————

One day, driving by an old painted sign, we were inspired to create a typeface. There’s something magical about those old hand painted buildings. The graphic elements of dimensional painted lettering is so kitchy and weird so we set out to make a display typeface that used the same elements but had a more modern feel.

Enter our first Recreation Typeface, Camper. We drew, shaped, erased, and redrew until we were satisfied. And we are pretty excited about how it turned out.

Active Shop Built Fixture Process

Active_Insp

We recently completed a fixture project for Active‘s Shop Built apparel line. Inspired by worn-in worktables and incorporating the simplicity and soul of a home-built workshop, the fixtures were built using raw wood and metal. They exude an authentic comfort and warmth while providing plenty of surface area to display product.

GOALS
- Elevate & differentiate Shop Built product from other brands in store
- Be distinct from other store fixtures but still make sense within the space
- Scalable to fit different floor plans in a variety of stores
- Make shipping and assembly as simple and easy as possible

THE END RESULT
- A sawhorse-style tiered shelving unit
- Two different sizes using the same components that allow for flexibility in the unit’s footprint
- Packs and ships flat and assembles easily with basic tools
